I was born and raised in Illinois, my youth was filled with extra-curricular activities and organizations centered around school, church and athletics. I attended Western Illinois University, after graduating from High School, but left before completing my degree to pursue a career in data processing, programming IBM mainframe computers. I Married in 1965 and had two sons, both becoming Naval Officers. My older son is an Industrial Engineer, currently working as a Goverment Contract Systems Engineer and my younger son holds the rank of Lt. Commander.

In 1967, I became a volunteer firefighter, in my local community and was in the first Paramedic graduating class for the State of Illinois in 1971. After reaching a position of Director of Data Processing Operations, for a major Nuclear Medicine manufacturing company, in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago,  I left in 1974 to become a full time Professional Firefighter/Paramedic. I obtained my Illinois Real Estate license in the late 70's, while continuing my Firefighter career. During my 21 years as a Professional Firefighter, I rose through the Fire Department achieving the rank of Assistant Fire Chief and retired in 1994, when I moved to Oceannside, California. After several years enjoying retirement, I obtained my California Real Estate license. I'm currently associated with Grover Realty in Carlsbad, Ca. My current hobbies include spending time with my family, including, four grandchildren, traveling (RV), fishing, boating, enjoying time with friends and Volunteering with the Oceanside Harbor Police.
